Man arrested for murder, kidnapping in Clovis

A man who is accused of kidnapping a baby and killing her mother and another woman and shooting a 5-year-old in Clovis, New Mexico was arrested in Abilene.

Alek Isaiah Collins, 26, is charged with two counts of murder, one count of kidnapping and two counts of child abuse.

Collins was arrested when law enforcement received a tip saying that he was at a house in Abilene. Police and the FBI arrested Collins and rescued 10month-old Eleia Maria Torres.

According to reports, Collins killed Samantha Harley Cisneros and Taryn Allen last Friday, as well as shooting Cisneros’s 5-year-old daughter and kidnapped Torres.

Collins is charged in Abilene with aggravated robbery and assault on a public servant.
