Persons Arrested & Booked into Jail April 1 to April 7

All information of persons arrested and booked into the Castro County Jail are open records:

April 3

Adan Moyces Lamas, 18 of Hereford, was arrested by the Texas Highway Patrol for Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces.

Michael Martinez, 19 of Hereford, was arrested by the Texas Highway Patrol for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 over 1 gramunder 4 grams.

Vanessa Gonzalez, 38 of Dimmitt, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police on a Castro County warrant for Fraudulent Use or Possess Identifying Information five items or less.

April 5

Vanessa Barraz, 36 of Dimmitt, was arrested by the Texas Highway Patrol for Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces.

Jonathan Romero Ruiz, 20 of Plainview, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under 1 gram.

Jacob Ochoa Rodriguez, 38 of Levelland, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under 1 gram, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces.

April 7

Priscilla Saldana, 41 of Tulia, was arrested by the Sheriff ’s Office for Driving While Intoxicated.

COUNTY COURT Mandy Gfeller, presiding judge Judgements for April 4: Vennisa Davila, 29 of Hart, pleaded guilty to the offense of Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor. She was sentenced to one (1) year in the county jail probated for two (2) years, $2,000 fine and court costs.

64thDISTRICT COURT Danah Ziropoli, presiding judge Judgments for April 4: Jordan Matthew Tijerina, 34 of Hereford, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over 1 gram-under 4 grams. He was sentenced to five (5) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, $2000 fine, $355 court costs, Attorney Fees and was ordered to pay $180 in restitution to the Texas DPS Crime Lab.

Maleki Don Laurent,18 of Amarillo, pleaded guilty to the offenses of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery. His plea of guilt was set aside, and he was placed on ten (10) years of Deferred Adjudication Probation on both offenses, $2500 fine, $325 court costs and Attorney Fees.

Steven Ricketts, 29 of Slaton, pleaded true to violations of his probation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under 1 gram. His probation was revoked, and he was sentenced to fifteen (15) months in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-State Jail.

Brenda Lee Black, 61 of Dimmitt, pleaded guilty to the offense of Tampering with Physical Evidence. Her plea of guilt was set aside, and she was placed on five (5) years of Deferred Adjudication Probation, $2000 fine, $310 court costs and Attorney Fees.

Lauren Rajcevich,19 of Dimmitt, pleaded guilty to the offense of Abandoning/ Endangering a Child-Criminal Negligence. Her plea of guilt was set aside, and she was placed on two (2) years of Deferred Adjudication Probation, $1000 fine and $325 court costs.

Joe Caceres,19 of Arlington, pleaded guilty to the offense of Robbery. His plea of guilt was set aside, and he was placed on five (5) years of Deferred Adjudication Probation, $2000 fine, $325 court costs and Attorney Fees.
