Bobcats move into #3 seed

The Dimmitt Bobcats made the baseball Bi-District playoffs after moving into the #3 seed.

The Bobcats are set to play the Idalou Wildcats in Littlefield on Friday and Saturday, with the first game beginning Friday at 6 p.m.

The time for the Bobcat’s second game on Saturday is dependent on the Bushland vs. Slaton games. Should a third game be necessary, it will begin 30 minutes after the second game is finished.

Bobcats v Friona The Dimmitt Bobcats defeated the Friona Chieftains, 12-1.

Mario Lopez was the winning pitching with 2.2 innings, 63 pitches and 30 strikes with four strikeouts, giving up one hit, one run, one error and one walk. Rudy Fuentes pitched 2.1 innings, 21 pitches and 14 strikes, with two strikeouts, giving up one hit.

Bobcats v Dalhart

The Bobcats defeated the Dalhart Wolves, 8-2.

Winning pitcher was Tony Salazar, going for five innings, 65 pitches and 33 strikes, with two strikeouts, giving up two hits, two runs, one error and five walks. Mario Lopez pitched two innings, for 41 pitches and 24 strikes, with three strikeouts, giving up two hits and two walks.
