Castro County athletes shine at OPSU

Two Castro County athletes are making tracks at Oklahoma Panhandle State University this season in the women’s relay events.

Dimmitt High School graduate Kaylee Lujan, OPSU sophomore, and Hart High School graduate Paisley Reyna-Mata, OPSU freshman, have both been putting in solid performances.

Lujan is a 4x400 Meter Relay Team member and runs with Reyna-Mataon the 4x100 Relay Team.

The lady tracksters recently competed at the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Track and Field Championships in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

The 4x400 Relay Team won first place with a time of 4:10.72. The 4x100 Relay Team placed third with a time of 49.80.
