Cole Underwood
The Perryton High School athletic director was arrested by the Ochiltree County Sheriff’s Office and charged with the sexual assault of a child.
According to a press release by Ochiltree County Sheriff Terry Bouchard, Cole Underwood is charged with having sexual intercourse with Perryton High School student under the age of 17.
Perryton ISD Superintendent Greg Brown released a statement saying administration received a report on April 21 that an employee may have engaged in improper conduct involving a student.
After obtaining more information, the employee was placed on administrative leave and the school district contacted the sheriff’s office.
Additionally, a similar report was made to other authorities as required by law and district policy.
According to the Perryton ISD press release, the employee has since resigned and is no longer employed at the school as the investigation proceeds.
