“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” Job 42:2 (NIV) The concept of God-tracking implies seeking and tracking the plans and purposes of God for your life. The scripture makes it plain that God knows the plans he has for you and that all things will work out according to God’s purpose. We can trust God’s plans. His plans are always Plan A.

Though it may seem to you that God changes his mind, God has no plan B for your life. If you acknowledge the Lord in every aspect of your life, you can rest assured that he will direct your path according to the plans that he knows he has for you; plans for a future filled with hope for wholeness, peace and success. That said, I’m sure you’ll agree that there are times in life when it seems that God’s plan A appears to have been thwarted.

Years back, when I was studying for the ministry, I was involved in a small local church as the worship leader. It was a stable growing church led by a seemingly solid man. However, one day, the pastor came up with a new plan that required all the elders of the church to become fully qualifi ed and ordained ministers. He promptly demolished the leadership of the church, leaving himself as the sole leader.

However, my position as worship leader still entitled me to a humble leadership position within the church. Sadly, this pastor was dissatisfi ed with this fact and set about to falsely accuse me of attempting to rally support to take over the church. This could not have been further from the truth.

As a Bible student, I viewed my pastor as my mentor and was in complete submission to his authority. Unfortunately, after several months of discord and dissension, because of false accusations, the church closed. Here I was, studying for the ministry and believing God had a plan for my life, yet I was now churchless and directionless. Was God’s plan A for me thwarted?

In his grace and foreknowledge, God led us to a new church led by a man of integrity. Submitting to his oversight, I continued studying for the ministry. God’s plan A resumed. I was promoted to music director of this new church, which was much larger and more established than my former church.

However, the next three years proved to be the most grueling years for Karen and me. Due to financial difficulty and my ignorant choices, my marriage almost failed. If it weren’t for the pastor of our new church, I firmly believe that I would be divorced, out of the ministry and far from God today.

God knew the plan he had for me. His Plan A was never thwarted.

Your Lord can do all things. He has a plan for your life and all things will work out for your good according to his exclusive purpose for your life. So, hold on; never give up. Continue to acknowledge God in every aspect of your life and walk by faith believing that he will direct your path according to his plan A.
