Charlene Reily, 88 of Colorado City, Texas, passed away July 11, 2019, in Hereford, Texas. Cremation services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home in Hereford.
Charlene was born in Winters, Texas, on December 22, 1930, to Robert Henry Ross and Velma (Taylor) Ross. She married Robert S. “Bob” Reily Jr. on February 16, 1951, in Abilene, Texas, and graduated from McMurry University.
In 1953, they moved to Colorado City where they raised their two sons. She was a teacher for 40 years, teaching in both Colorado City and Loraine school districts. Upon retirement, she traveled all over the world. She was a past president of the Lion’s Club and a past recipient of the Chamber of Commerce’s Citizen of the Year.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; sons, Pat and wife, Gaye, of Dim-mitt, Texas, and Bill and wife, Jackie, of Bedford, Texas; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Betty.
A memorial service was held Sunday, July 14, 2019, at First United Methodist Church of Colorado City.
