Kathleen Alma “Dugan” Butler, 101 of Friona, passed away Aug.t 3, 2018 in Friona. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Friona with the Rev. Brett Hoyle, pastor, officiating. Service and cremation arrangements by HANSARD FAMILY Funeral Home of Friona. Dugan was born Aug. 17, 1916 in Lubbock to Milton L. and Mary Isiah Stoker Hardy. She later married Joe Butler on Aug. 4, 1937 in Clovis. She resided in Montana where they had a cherry farm, also in Dimmitt, Friona and Ruidoso, New Mexico. She was a member of the High Plains Ladies Golf Association and various bridge clubs. She was a wonderful artist painting on plates and milk cans. She loved to cook, travel and antiquing. Dugan is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jimmy Jack Butler; one brother, Pat Hardy; and two sisters, Jo Wood and Johnnie Boothe. Those to carry on her legacy include one son, Joe Bill Butler and wife Soy of Montgomery, Texas; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren, two greatgreat- grandchildren, one niece; and two nephews.
