Rodolfo L. “Rudy” Salazar, 90 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pedro Gonzalez with burial to follow in West-lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 1-8 p.m.at the funeral home.
Rodolfo “Rudy” Salazar was born on March 27, 1928 in Pedras Negras, Mexico to Christopher Salazar and Nevaies (Leoz) Salazar. Rudy was a very simple man who loved to work in his yard, admiring his antique truck, and listening to music, but most of all he loved spending time with his wife, Cipriana of 52 years and his family.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Cipriana Salazar of Dimmitt, Texas; two sons, Adolfo Salazar of Alabama, and Roy Salazar of Dallas, Texas; four daughters, Elizabeth Montes of Plainview, Texas, Mary Mendoza of Childress, Texas, Janie Garcia of Childress, Texas, and Rosa Mejia of Crystal City, Texas; along with numerous grandchildren.
Rudy is preceded in death by two sons, Rudy Salazar, Jr. and Santos Salazar.
