Dwayne Schulte, 62 of Nazareth, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:30AM with Father Bhaskar Adusupalli, Deacon Bob Birkenfeld and Deacon Joe Hochstein as celebrants. Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery under the direct care of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the church.
Dwayne was born on December 17, 1956 to Gilbert Schulte and Dolores (Huseman) Schulte. Dwayne grew up in Nazareth and graduated from Nazareth High School in 1975. He married Jolene (Pohlmeier) Schulte on February 21, 1977 in Nazareth. Dwayne was a lifelong member of the Holy Family Catholic Church where he served on the parish council. He worked as a farmer and rancher in Nazareth for many years and loved being around cattle. In his spare time he enjoyed watching baseball and rodeo, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Dwayne is survived by his wife, Jolene Schulte of Nazareth, Texas; three sons, Jaret Schulte and his wife Cassie of Canyon, Texas, Stacey Schulte and his wife Tiffany of Nazareth, and Brady Schulte and his wife Courtney of Benbrook, Texas; mother, Dolores Schulte of Nazareth; two brothers, Calvin Schulte of Canyon, and Rodney Schulte and wife Mona of Nazareth; three sisters, Elaine Barnes and husband Joe of Plainview, Texas, Rosie Kleman and husband Doyle of Nazareth, and Karen Gerber and husband Dan of Nazareth; six grandchildren, Wyatt Schulte, Cole Schulte, and Grant Schulte of Canyon, and Addie Schulte, Aiden Schulte and Knox Schulte of Nazareth.
Dwayne is also survived by in-laws, Linda Kendrick, Lynn and Pam Bogle, Tom and Brenda Conrad, JC and Jocelyn Pohlmeier, Randy and Monette Schilling, Greg and Karen Schulte, Morris and Chelle Wilcox and Lisa Pohlmeier.
Dwayne is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Schulte.
