Mary Lou Weatherford, 87 of Dimmitt Texas. passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Dim-mitt. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 30 at 3 p.m. in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home.
Mary Lou Weatherford was born on March 11, 1932 in Amarillo, Texas to Buck Garner and Dora (Holloway) Garner. She married Joe Paul Weatherford on May 31, 1957 in Amarillo. Mary Lou was employed for over 30 years with Energas, now known as Atmos Energy until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Lee Street Baptist Church, Rebekah Lodge and Cowpunchers. Her hobbies included playing her guitar and piano, taking care of her dogs and horses, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mary Lou Weatherford is survived by her children, daughter, Jan Perry and husband Walter of Tatum, Texas, son, Neal Weatherford and wife Trish of Billings, Montana,, daughter,Kim Weatherford of Dimmitt, Texas, and son, Kyle Weatherford of Amarillo, Texas;, six grandchildren, Robert Perry and wife Amber, Amy Barmore and husband Scott, Brooke Weatherford, Trent Weatherford, Cody Weatherford and Sydney Weatherford; and three great-grandchildren, Fox Perry, Nicolas Means and Hadley Phillips-Weatherford.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Dora Garner; husband, Joe Paul Weatherford; brother, Floyd Garner; sister, Sue Garner Hunter; step-brother, Duane Truman; and granddaughter, Vicky Lynn Perry.
