Mary Resch Fowler planted idea that blossomed into Festival of Trees

A former employee planted an idea that blossomed into a traditional holiday launching event locally. Given the mainstay annual fund raiser that the Festival of Trees has become for the Hereford Senior Citizens Center, you would doubt that there were ever any misgivings about performing the project.

Festival of Trees Gala auction brings in $119,750

The Tree Auction at the 35th Hereford Senior Citizens Association Festival of Trees took in $119,750 according to preliminary figures supplied by Vanessa Nava, HSCA executive director.

This year marks the 46th campaign of Hereford’s homegrown holiday charity, The Christmas Stocking Fund.The 2025 fund raising campaign begins December 1.A small group of anonymous Hereford businessmen organized the Christmas Stocking Fund back in 1980.
