Deaf Smith County Court makes screwworm declaration

While tax abatements and reinvestment zones were the main order of business at their June 23 regular meeting, county commissioners also turned their attention to a threat to the local and state livestock industry with a local disaster declaration concerning the New World Screwworm.

A former Whiteface standout and Texas Tech Red Raider, Ja'Deion continues to make Hereford proud on the national stage.
