The annual Nazareth German Festival Playa Tour could be a “dryland” version this season come Saturday, July 11. Rainfall could certainly change things, but current plans are to center activities around the Ogallala Commons Playa Classroom south of Nazareth from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

County commissioners unanimously gave technology giant Google LLC and its affiliates along with IP Roman Gas property tax abatements on potentially billions of dollars worth of projects in Deaf Smith County over the next decade in return for payment in lieu of taxes.
