“Fall monsoons” brought five widely dispersed funnel clouds, lashing wind and rain that flooded playas, streets and highways, and spawned flow in area creeks and rivers September 29 and 30.
Tierra Blanca Creek, heading west of Clovis, was flowing on the west side of Hereford, through the municipal golf course and toward Buffalo Lake Wildlife Refuge.
