Castro County 4-H has spent the last eight weeks getting ready for the Amarillo League Texas Tech GEAR robotics contest. Our 18 youths on six teams compete on Saturday. Tuesday the teams held their own mock contest at Nazareth ISD. Thanks to Nazareth Isd for the use of the cafeteria. First Robotics Team #16617 who served as judges, mentors, and leaders for the future of robotics.

COLLEGE JERSEY COLORING WINNERS

Communities in Schools of Richardson Elementary in Dimmitt held a college jersey coloring contest.All the jerseys were displayed in the hallway and the winners received Sonic gift cards.Students learned about different colleges this week and discussed mascots, colors and locations of colleges.

Peoples Bank Area Chairman, Larry Allen, has announced a promotion for Marcus Brockman. Brockman has been promoted to Rural Markets President.Brockman has been with Peoples Bank for 21 years. He grew up in Nazareth, Texas, and helped open the Peoples Bank branch in Nazareth.

Castro County Horse Judging contestants have been hard at work getting ready for District 4-H contest. Monday they went to Schulte Arena in Nazareth and Kyle and Ryan Birkenfeld taught several scenarios for both halter and performance classes.
