The Central Church of Christ meets every Sunday at 148 Sunset, the corner of Sunset & Plains, in Hereford. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.; Morning worship begins at 10:30 a.m.; and the Sunday evening worship begins at 6:00 p.m. We also meet every Wednesday at 7 p.m.

La Madre Mia Study Club holds Halloween Party Oct. 23

La Madre Mia Study Club met at Kathie Kerr’s home with Judy Williams and Teresa Allen co-hosting the meeting and Halloween Party on October 23.The members were served finger foods, drinks and pumpkin bundt cake decorated especially for Halloween.

HEDC reports sales tax distribution up slightly

A sales tax allocation report distributed to city commissioners at their October 20 regular meeting showed that the city has received $282,705.42 in overall sales taxes for October of the recently underway 20252026 Fiscal Year.Of that amount, $188,470.
