HISD tax rate increase, all state amendments pass locally

An additional tax for the Hereford Independent School District was approved by Deaf Smith County voters, who joined voters statewide in approving 17 proposed constitutional amendments during the Tuesday, November 4 election.

Tuesday, November 11, marks the 2025 observance of Veterans Day in Hereford and across the United States.County Veterans Service Officer Albert Sciumbato reports that as of September 30 of 2024 there were 479 Veterans in Deaf Smith County according to Veterans Administration state records.
