HEDC reports sales tax distribution up slightly

A sales tax allocation report distributed to city commissioners at their October 20 regular meeting showed that the city has received $282,705.42 in overall sales taxes for October of the recently underway 20252026 Fiscal Year.Of that amount, $188,470.

Another sandhill crane season is upon us, set in motion today, October 25. The allotted days spread before us through January 25 of 2026, marking a time dedicated to seeking a fellowship with these prehistoric-looking and sounding fowl.
