The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1 Be bold. Be strong. For the Lord you God is with you.
Words from an old chorus written by Morris Chapman that we used to sing in church. I remember the vigor this old song gave me… “I am not afraid I am not dismayed Because I'm walking in faith and victory Come on and walk in faith and victory For the Lord your God is with you” It’s been said, “Could it be that when we are bold enough to step away from our safety nets and into the 'fire' of God’s call, this is when we’re most likely to encounter Him?” The call of God can be a fire. Indeed, just ask Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
When confronted to choose between the fire of God’s call or rejecting the plans of God they replied, “Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace.” They boldly rebutted the command of Nebuchadnezzar to bow to a golden image and were thrown headlong into a fiery furnace. In their boldness to follow God’s call, they encountered his might to deliver them from the fire. These three chaps walked in faith and victory because the Lord their God was with them.
