Castro County voters had the opportunity to hear from the candidates Janet Sammann (I) and Mandy Gfeller (R) last Thursday at a forum hosted by The Castro County News.
Between 75 and 100 voters filled the meeting room at Dimmitt City Hall to hear the candidates. With early voting underway and the general election to be held on Nov. 8, voters will be deciding who will lead the county.
Moderated by Dimmitt High School senior Will Van Zee, candidates were introduced and allowed time to speak for why they are running for county judge and what they hope to accomplish for the residents of the county. They were then asked 11 specific questions by Van Zee and offered their answers.
