A Lubbock County Detention Center officer was arrested on Tuesday for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, specifically fentanyl.
Taylor Millett, 27, who had been a detention officer for about two years, was charged with after attempting to buy product from an undercover officer. The arrest was immediately made.
According to a report by the Lubbock Sheriff Kelly Rowe, who was on scene for the arrest, fentanyl is the most profitable and easiest drug to traffic in Lubbock, with drug dealers often using the substance to counterfeit ecstasy or Adderall.
