‘But he answered, “You give them something to eat.” Mark 6:37 (NIV) What was it like to be a disciple serving up a meager offering of five loaves of bread and two fish to over five thousand men? Truly, when we think about that today, the idea is truly insane!
The disciples would have objected saying that they didn’t have enough food to offer the people. There wasn’t enough to nourish and sustain them. Who did the Lord think they were? Could they work miracles?
No, they could not and nor can we, as his disciples today. But we know the One who can. Greater is He, dear Christ follower, who lives in us, than he who lives in the world (1 John 4:4).
