PharmaTex Research, a clinical research facility in Amarillo, is aiming to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus with a new study that began in August and will conclude in November.
According to Megan Hazelrigg, clinical research coordinator at PharmaTex, if there is a preventative measure, PharmaTex wants to be involved.
The study is a pill taken twice a day for five days and the researchers will monitor the symptoms of the participants for a month. To participate, someone in the household must test positive for COVID-19 and the participant must be unvaccinated.
