Tri-State shooter identified

Following an investigation by the Texas Rangers, 17year-old Eleanzar Suarez, 17, has been charged for assaulting two public officials in the recent shooting at the Tri-State Fair in Amarillo on Sept. 19.

According to complaint filed by Texas Ranger’s, Suarez knowingly and intentionally shot both Deputy William Snyder and Potter County Volunteer Firefighter Brady Carroll.

According to the report, a fight began between Suarez and another man, at which time law enforcement responded to the fight. When the two parties were separated, Suarez ran from the scene. Snyder and Carroll pursued the suspect, telling him to stop.
