Castro 4-H attends POWER Camp

    Summer has arrived and Castro County 4-Hers are staying busy with various projects and events.

    Castro County 4-H members Spencer Acker, Klancy Bruton, Brett Heitschmidt, Kaci Kleman and Miles Nelson attended the North Region 4-H Senior POWER Camp at High Plains Retreat Center in Canyon on June 20-22.

    The camp was sponsored by Xcel Energy staff who conducted session and a highly competitive quiz bowl. Additionally, 4-H’ers also attended other sessions, leadership games and the first-ever career fair with adults sharing their careers. In their free time, they played games, swam and danced. Castro County AgriLife agent Felice Acker accompanied the group.
