Meth traffickers sentenced, 360+ years

Thirty-four members of a methamphetamine ring that operated in the Dimmitt, Texas area have been sentenced to a combined 364 years in federal prison, announced U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Chad E. Meacham.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations and Castro County Sheriff’s Office were instrumental in protecting citizens in the county from illegal drug trafficking of methamphetamine and the crimes associated with such drug activity, said Sheriff Sal Rivera.

“The Sheriff’s Office is committed to protecting the citizens of the county from illegal narcotics and criminal activity,” said Rivera.
