The Lone Star State will adding its first new Texas State Park in 25 years.
Philanthropic support raised by Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) will be leveraged with $21 million in public funds to construct the roads, utilities, buildings, campsites, trails, and other facilities necessary to open the Palo Pinto Mountains State Park to the public.
