Area producer Donny Carpenter had the first ginned bale at North Gin in Castro County for 2022. The cotton variety was DeltaPine 1822, yielding 1400lbs/acre, producing a grade value of .5434 cents in the loan and market value of $.81/lb. North Gin will be making a $500 donation to the beneficiary of the Carpenter’s choosing which is Country View Living.
