Homer A. “Bud” Hill was born Oct. 13, 1930 in Hart, Texas. He passed away at the age of 90 on April 29, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. Bud was a life-long resident of Castro County. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 5 at 1 p.m.

Lawrence “Smick” Schmucker, 95 of Nazareth, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 in Dimmitt, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m.

Patton

William ‘Billy’ Patton passed away in Amarillo on April 19. He was born May 2, 1967 in Hereford, Texas. He attended Dimmitt schools and was employed by Hyman Farm Service for several years. He married Raneta Adams in August 1987 in Hereford. They had one son, Rye Patton.

Quintero

San Juanita “Janie” Quintero, 68, formally of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 23 at 11 a.m. with Father Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño, and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants.

Isaguirre

Martha Isaguirre, 78, died on Friday, April 16, 2021. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, in Tulia, with Father David Contreras officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia.

Melody Kay Lilley, 40, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 in Nazareth, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 8, at 2 p.m. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Deacon Bob Birkenfeld officiating. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. prior to the service.

Mary L. Birkenfeld, 81 of Nazareth, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 in Nazareth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Bhaskar Adusupalli, Deacon Bob Birkenfeld and Deacon Joe Hochstein as celebrants.

Childers

Truett Childers, 68, died Feb. 21, 2021 at his home in Austin Texas. A graveside service at West Lawn Memorial Park in Dimmitt will be held April 11, at 3 p.m. Truett was born Aug. 16, 1952 in Abilene, Texas and moved to Childress where he spent his early childhood.

Enriquez

Rafael Enriquez, 85 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home with Trista Enriquez officiating.

Ella “Claudine” Langford, 90, longtime resident of Dimmitt, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Dimmitt. Celebration of life services will be held Thursday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. T.C. Broom officiating.
