Reynaldo “Rey” Velasquez, 70, long time resident of Hart, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 in Hart. Rey was born on Jan. 6, 1951 to Jose Carlos and Manuela (Martinez) Velasquez in Abernathy, Texas. He was one of 18 brothers and sisters. He was raised in Hart, Texas.

Narciso M. Gauna, 93 of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 15, at 11:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady and Deacon John Niño as celebrants.

Cheryl Ann (Pevehouse) Hoover, 60, passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, in Lubbock, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on March 24, 1960 in Hart, Texas to the late Nathan Pevehouse and Frankie Ann Davis Pevehouse. She was a graduate of Dimmitt High School in 1978.
