Coached by Ruby Romero, the DHS girls powerlifters scored a team win and six first place medals at the Plainview Invitational this past weekend.
Coached by Jose Gonzalez and Johnny Nino, the DHS boys powerlifters were fourth place at the Plainview Invitation this past weekend.
The Dimmitt Powerlifting teams charged into the season, competing at the Plainview Invitational Meet this past Saturday, and brought home some medals.
The Dimmitt Bobbies, who compete in the Texas High School Womens Powerlifting Association (THSWPA), took top team honors the meet with six DHS athletes bringing home first place medals out of the 47 lifters competing in nine weight class divisions.
