WTAMU Spring Commencement scheduled for May 11

Swifts capture #1 seed position

The Nazareth Swifts won a tough seeding match against the Claude Mustangs on Monday, 1-0.The two teams were tied for the District title.As #1 seed, Nazareth draws a bye in the first round and will play the winner of the Springlake vs.

Bobcats move into #3 seed

The Dimmitt Bobcats made the baseball Bi-District playoffs after moving into the #3 seed.The Bobcats are set to play the Idalou Wildcats in Littlefield on Friday and Saturday, with the first game beginning Friday at 6 p.m.

Castro County athletes shine at OPSU

Two Castro County athletes are making tracks at Oklahoma Panhandle State University this season in the women’s relay events.Dimmitt High School graduate Kaylee Lujan, OPSU sophomore, and Hart High School graduate Paisley Reyna-Mata, OPSU freshman, have both been putting in solid performances.

Nazareth Swift Basketball Camp

The Nazareth Swift Basketball Camp is set for May 28-31.The camp is for incoming kindergarten through ninth grade.Campers will have the opportunity to learn and improve basketball skills with an emphasis on fundamental and will compete in daily competitions.

DISD athletic, band physicals scheduled May 15-16

Hosted by Dimmitt Sports Medicine, Dimmitt High School and Middle School physicals are being provided by Medical Center of Dimmitt free of cost to athletes and band members for the 2024-25 school year.Middle school athletes (6th -8th) physicals will begin at 8:30 a.m.
