Naz boys golf qualifies for Regionals

The Nazareth golf teams competed at the District 1A tournament held in Dimmitt. The girls placed fourth as a team; the boys placed second, qualifying for the Regional meet in Lubbock.
The Dimmitt HS girls golf team advanced to the Regional tournament as District runner up. Team members include Braylynn Chavira, Renata Rodriguez, Alexis Quiroz, Emma Convers and Camila Madrigal. Quiroz and Chavira tied for third place individual. The team is coached by Luis Nino.

Dimmit Bobcats Varsity Baseball team is currently rocking a 10-4 record this season as they head into district play. The team has had some amazing wins against Ralls, Sudan, Smyer, Floydada, Hale Center, Stinnett, Lockney, Borger JV and Muleshoe with Tony Salazar throwing a perfect game against Hale Center. More than a dozen female athletes have sued the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) over its transgender participation policies, claiming it violates their rights under Title IX which prohibits discrimination based on sex at any institution receiving federal funds.
