The Dimmitt Middle School Bobcats 7th-grade football team defeated Spearman, winning 28-16 and now have a 30 record. The Dimmitt Middle School Bobcats 7th-grade football team remains undefeated after taking down the Spearman Lynx 28-16 last Thursday. They now have a 3-0 record.

Swifts fall to Panthers, 54-24

The Nazareth Swifts fell on the road 54-24 to the Whitharral Panthers last Friday in a battle of state-ranked teams. The Swifts were ranked 23rd among all Texas high school six-man football teams by sixmanfootball.com. Whitharral was ranked no. 25 by the same poll.

Dimmitt Middle School football 7t and 8t grade teams played Amarillo Highland Park on Sept. 22. DMS 7th grade Bobcats won their game 24-6. Coach Prieto reported that the offense took care of the business scoring on the first play of the three offensive drives.

The Dimmitt Bobcats suffered a narrow loss in a tough game to the Highland Park Hornets, 36-33. The first quarter, the Bobcats got the action started with a touchdown by Sabian Martinez on a 2-yard run and extra-point kick by Diego Santellano, to take the lead 70.

The 2022 Panhandle-South Plains is under way and run through Oct. 1. Gate hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to midnight. Carnival hours begin at 3 p.m. on weekdays and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
