The 6th Annual Shark in the Park was a big success. The day turned out to be perfect. The overcast skies held off the rain until the event was completed. Families and friends were able to enjoy the free fun event organized by the Outcome in memory of Amy Cottrell.

The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle visited Swisher County

The 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle visited Swisher County on Memorial Day to deliver donations to the Happy, Tulia, and Kress Fire Departments to help financially with the expense created from the recent fires.
Mid-Plains Communications presented a donation to the Tulia Volunteer Fire Department as a way to give back to the community. Mid-Plains plans to make similar donations to other fire departments in their service area. Pictured are Mid-Plains General Manager Dusty George, Fire Chief Johnny Shelburne, City Manager BJ Potts, and Mid-Plains Board President Mikeal Barnes.

Mid-Plains Communications has a fresh look on the front of their building thanks to the Ron Miller who sponsored the talent of local artist Alfonzo Garcia. The new United States Flag mural is a welcoming sight on the Mid-Plains building for those traveling on Texas Highway 87 through Tulia.
