Swisher County residents will have the opportunity to clean-up scrap tires over the next month thanks to a statewide grant through the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.The tire clean-up will be for pneumatic tires only.

Swisher County Senior Citizens Breakfast honoring first responders and veterans was served on Saturday morning. A steady stream of hungry citizens came to the Swisher County Senior Citizens building to indulge in eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee. The meal was free to first responders and veterans.
