Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $1.07 billion in local sales tax allocations for November, 20.6 percent more than in November 2020.

Castro County was up by 2.49 percent from November 2020 at $21,837; Dimmitt also show an increase from 2020 by 2.25 percent at $39,756; Hart decreased by - 3.28 percent at $4,952; and Nazareth increased by 28.69 percent at $6,341.

Statewide, cities received $697 million, up by 19.5 percent; transit systems, $225 million, up 20.9 percent, counties, $62 million, up 18.8 percent; and special purpose taxing districts, $88 million, up by 30.4 percent.

These allocations are based on sales made in September by businesses that report tax monthly, and on sales made in July, August and September by quarterly filers.
