The Ogallala Quilt Festival is just around the corner and with it, deadlines for the event.
A brief calendar of events and deadlines: March 15 – Deadline for class registration, nominations due for Heart & Hand Award and Amy Armenta Scholarship., and deadline for reserving meal tickets for Awards Dinner and Fantastic Friday Night dinner.
March 28 – Quilt entries accept until 9 a.m. at several locations including QuiltWinks Fabric & More, Amarillo; Sew Irresistible Quilt Shop, Farwell; Sue Summers, Senior Citizen’s Center, Dimmitt; The Country Store Quilt Shop, Lovington, New Mexico; The Sewing Studio, Lubbock; St. Luke’s Methodist Church/Thompson House, Midland; and Desert Rose Center, Tucumcari, New Mexico. Live and Silent auctions donations due at DHS Activity Center.
March 30 – Vendor set up; McLeod Class; and Meet & Mingle. Thursday Night Awards Dinner.
March 31 – McCleod class; Festival Exhibits (admission $5), Regional teachers classes & lectures; Fantastic Friday Night Dinner.
April 1 – Ogallala membership meeting. 12:30 p.m., DHS Activity Center. Regional teachers classes & lectures; Festival Exhibits and drawings.
Special exhibits will be set up at the Methodist Church, Senior Citizens Center and Expo Center. Classes will be held at several locations in Dimmitt.
