The Dimmitt Bobcats came through with win over the Muleshoe Mules last Tuesday, 13-8.

The game was tied at eight with Dimmitt batting in the bottom of the sixth when Oscar Rodriguez singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Pitchers on both teams had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. The Bobcats collected 16 hits and Muleshoe had 10.

Mario Lopez was the winning pitcher for Dimmitt, pitching 27 strikes in 44 pitches in two innings, with five strikeouts and one walk, allowing zero hits and zero runs. Righthander Jose Medina started the game for the Bobcats, pitching 64 strikes in 92 pitches in five innings, nine strikeouts, surrendering eight runs, 10 hits, and two walks.

Bobcats hitters saw the ball well, racking up 16 hits. Edwin Macias, Medina, Ga’Quorie Chatham, Rodriguez and Lopez each managed multiple hits, with Macias leading with four hits in five at bats.
