From Broken to Whole

To say the year 2020 was tough to many is an understatement, myself included. It was unprecedented--fraught with loss, pain, and sorrow.

Many were left brokenhearted from the loss of loved ones. Not only from the coronavirus but also the general passing away of family members and friends. But all thanks be to our Heavenly Father, our Creator can put together our shattered pieces and mend our broken hearts.

Psalms 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds" (NJKV). God is the potter, we are the clay, and He will restore us.

Be strong. We cannot do anything of ourselves. God is our strength. The Psalmist David said, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1, NKJV).

Be steadfast. Although it may be difficult at times, we must continue. Scripture tells us, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10, NKJV). Also, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful" (Hebrews 10:23, NKJV).

Be grateful. Our Heavenly Father is good all the time. And all the time, He is good. Therefore, "in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NKJV).

Be encouraged. We serve a wonderful, powerful, awesome God (Psalm 103:19, NKJV). And through His mighty power, He will make us whole again. Our times are in His hands and, this is the best place we can be.
