Dimmitt City Manager Daniel Jackson announced that the next playground project will be getting underway.
Jackson said that Playgrounds Etc. from Midland, Texas will begin construction on a playground located directly by the Skate Park on Western Circle. The location was chosen due to the high usage of the Skate Park.
“We anticipate the new playground being completed by the first or second week of June,” said Jackson.
According to Jackson, the city plans on gradually working on improvements to all the city parks.
“We are thrilled with the daily turnout at the City Park and how much it is being used. Our hope is that citizens of all ages come out and enjoy all of our parks.”
The city has several projects that are ongoing other than the parks.
