Dimmitt High School Robotics team #12398 has been invited to attend the World FTC Championship Meet to be held in Houston on April 17-23.

There will be 192 teams from all over the world participating. The event will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

According to Coach Don Bell, Dimmitt received an invitation because of its play this year which included second at UIL state championship with a record of 6-1; third at State FTC Katherine Johnson Division, 6-1, first at Regional, 33-8 overall record.

Team members include Faith Bell, Keenan Hernandez, Joel Grado, Daniel Duenes, Eric Duenas, Pablo Perez, Juan Cruz and Jasiah Tavarez.

Hosted by FIRST, the world championship is a culminating, international event for youth robotics competition season and an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
