DISD supply drive underway

The Dimmitt ISD backpack and school supply drive is underway and will continue until Aug. 1.

Each year, the school holds the drive to help underprivileged children get the supplies they need at the beginning of school.

Backpacks or school supplies may be purchased and dropped off at several locations in Dimmitt.

Items needed include pencils and pens, notebooks, notebook paper, spirals and composition, glue in bottles or sticks, markers and map colors, Kleenex, crayons- 24 count, two-pocket folders with fasteners, school box or pouch, markers, erasers, scissors and black expo.

Supplies and backpacks may be dropped at Dimmitt Pharmacy, First United Bank, Dollar General, West Texas Coffee and First Baptist Church.
