Jimenez passes state dispatcher test

Emilio Jimenez, 2018 DHS graduate, recently passed the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement State Exam taken on Jan. 6 to become a fully licensed telecommunicator operator/dispatcher. In order to become licensed as a peace officer, county jailer, or telecommunicator in Texas, applicants, four requirements must be met and include meeting the minimum standards for enrollment and initial licensure; successful completion of the basic licensing course; passing of the state licensing examination; and appointment by a law enforcement agency. Jimenez currently works for the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch and has since May 10, 2021.
