For National 4-H Week, the Castro County 4-H Club honored their recent Star Award winners.

Star Awards are given to youth who completed a record book, an application, and interview. They also participate in multiple projects and are leaders in the program, as well as participating in community service projects. The Gold Star Award is the highest achievement award given by the Texas 4H Youth Development Program through the county 4-H Program and can be awarded once in a member’s 4-H career.

This year’s Gold Star plaque earners were Caysen High, Luke Schulte and Harrison Meador.

Silver Star plaque earners were Remington Meador and Gracie White, and Bronze Star plaque earners were Steely Moore and Brant White.

The Silver and Bronze awards for given to outstanding 4-Hers on the basis of personal development, leadership, outstanding achievement in 4-H projects and activities and contribution to the overall 4-H program.
