Nazareth FFA State LDE students competed at the state competition at Sam Houston State in Huntsville. The state competition involves competing against all divisions of schools 1A to 6A, single teacher departments to 13 ag teacher departments, public schools to private schools.

In Senior Creed Speaking, Chloe Birkenfeld placed 11th out of the entire state. Over 700 individuals competed in the event overall.

The Radio Broadcasting team of Tanner Wethington, Emily Durbin, Chloe Birkenfeld and Max Snead competed in the state semifi-nals on Friday and came out in 15th place overall (out of 670 teams competing in the event).

Austin Heck, ag instructor at NISD, leads the Naz FFA Chapter, assisted by community volunteers and parents, making the program one of the top performing in the state.
