Naz Labor Day Picnic, Sept. 4

The Holy Family Church in Nazareth has scheduled the annual Labor Day Picnic for Sept. 4.

A parade will get things underway at 10 a.m. with a theme “Celebrating God’s Goodness.” A roast beef dinner lunch will follow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adults, $12, and children 10 and under, $6.

There are lots of activities to be enjoyed with the Bake Shoppe beginning at 9 a.m., and adult raffle, bingo and Cow Patty Bingo at 11 a.m.

Children’s games and water events begin at noon and continue through 4 p.m., as well the children’s raffle and bingo. Armband prices are $10 for 8 years and older, and $5 for 7 years and under.

The Corn Hole Tournament will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Registration for 2-person teams, $40 per team, can be done at the bank in hall parking lot.

A trailer and cattle auction will get underway at 1:30 p.m. Due to the large attendance at this event, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

The day will wind down with a hamburger supper from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Community Hall. $10 per meals or $5 for hamburger only.

All proceeds from the day will benefit Holy Family Catholic Church.
