The Running Water SWCD, in partnership with USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), is hosting the Castro County Local Work Group Meeting.

This meeting is an opportunity to bring farmers, ranchers, conservationists, and others together to discuss natural resources and set local conservation priorities.

The information gathered at these listening sessions helps provide NRCS and the District the necessary technical and financial support to help land managers make onthe ground management decisions that produce positive ecological outcomes at the local and state level.

To reduce the spread of COVID, the USDA‐NRCS and the SWCD will hold their annual Local Work Group Meeting virtually on April 13 at 9 a.m. All are invited to participate in this meeting by calling in on an audio line.

By participating, producers help to determine the natural resource issues and set local conservation priorities, as well as identifying the criteria for USDA conservation activities and programs that are planned for the upcoming fiscal year.

Please join and voice an opinion by calling 1-888-844-9904. When prompted enter the Access Code 8868206.

Please contact the NRCS office at 806-647-2153 Ext. 3 with additional questions.
