Texas beef herd signals higher prices ahead for producers, consumers

The latest U.S. Department of Agriculture cattle inventory report delivered another clear signal that the U.S. beef herd has yet to turn the corner, and Texas remains central to the story, said Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service experts.

TWC Recognizes Career and Technical Education Month

This February, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is celebrating Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month by highlighting the value of CTE programs and the students who are preparing for high-skill technical careers in more than 460 different fields across the state.

Swiftettes top Happy, move to 10-0 in district play

The Nazareth Swiftettes continue to dominate District 4-1A. Their latest opponent, Happy, felt the full extent of Nazareth’s determination falling 95-19 to the Swiftettes who remain ranked in the top 3 of Class A hoops.Leading the charge was Kambri Cleavinger who scored 25 points in the win.

Castro County Judge’s Report

From the Chamber Soup Lunch to the County Stock Show and the Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet, it was wonderful to see so many people coming together. The Stock Show was a great week, and I always enjoy watching our youth exhibit their animals and seeing the hard work they put into their projects.
